12/27/2022 0 Comments Change aquamacs theme![]() I used to have to depend on OS package manager (which does not exist in OS X) and Github to make EMACS installs well doable. (load-theme 'sanityinc-solarized-light t)īy the way, this is amazing. It is included in Emacs 24, and I understood that Aquamacs 24 is based on that.īut if you have enable-theme, it should be enough to put something like this in your emacs init file: (package-initialize) I can't understand why customize-themes wouldn't work for you. emacs-starter-kit is also not necessary to get the themes working, but it's a good way to start building an emacs config. Package.el should have been included in your Aquamacs 24. Using enable-theme I can select the theme for my current session, but I can't figure out how to make it stick. Copy the lisp files for the themes into a directory in. However, I do not have the customize-themes command, so I'm still a bit stuck there. First make sure that you have the Emacs color-theme package installed. Based on the readme in your other repo, I've also installed emacs-starter-kit. I installed package.el and your theme using like you proposed. You might also be interested in browsing my entire Emacs configuration tree: I'll think about writing this up in a README somewhere too. At that point, the package will be installed.Īfter that, use M-x customize-themes to select themes. Then use M-x package-list-packages, select color-theme-sanityinc-solarized from the list by pressing i, then press x to execute the changes. To make that take effect, either evaluate that elisp expression or restart your Emacs. ![]() Just make sure you have something like the following in your Emacs startup file ( ~/.emacs.d/init.el, or ~/.emacs): (add-to-list 'package-archives '("marmalade". Since you have Emacs 24, which includes package.el, you can just install the theme using the package on. ![]() Perhaps you could add a short set of installation instruction for people like yours truly? :) However, being a complete Emacs noob, I have no idea how I can start using it. ![]()
